JENNI’S NEW ALBUM: DEAREST DARLING You may not be familiar with the name Jenni Muldaur, most of her career has been spent in the shadows as a backing singer. Her list of collaborations is endless and she is sure to pop up in some of the credits in your collection including Eric Clapton, John Cale, and Steely Dan. Right now she is touring with the enigmatic David Byrne, following on from a recent tour with Lou Reed. Listening to her new solo project, “Dearest Darlin’”, recorded and mastered in NY, it’s understandable why her voice is in such demand. She has that strong, confident, yet soulful style reminiscent of fifties swingers Brenda Lee and Connie Francis, with a little Aretha thrown in. Rufus Wainwright Christmas Show

Rufus Wainwright has unveiled the lineup for his upcoming Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall.
Titled 'A Not So Silent Night' featuring Kate McGarrigle, Rufus and Martha Wainwright, the December 9 performance will also star Boy George, Dawn French, Guy Garvey, Jennifer Saunders, Teddy Thompson, Ed Harcourt, Shlomo, Janis Kelly and Jenni Muldaur. Wainwright said: "It is an off-the-cuff evening of friends and family kind of popping on and off stage as if the stage was our living room." The show is the first UK version of the Wainwright/McGarrigle Carnegie Hall dates held every two years in the US. The Kate McGarrigle Fund is a non-profit body dedicated to cancer care and research.
